Dr. Jane Dahlenburg will join us pre-concert with a fun and fascinating lecture on Twentieth Century Concert Music in the United States. Join us upstairs at Reynolds Performance Hall for this FREE lecture, Building from Scratch: Twentieth-Century Concert Music in the United States, right before the concert. Dr. Dahlenburg is an Associate Professor of Music History and Director of Graduate Studies/Graduate Advisor for the Music Department. She received a PhD in Musicology from the University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill, and taught at UNC-Chapel Hill and UNC-Greensboro before moving to Arkansas. Her research interests include sacred music of the late Renaissance and early Baroque, and twentieth-century Soviet composers. She has taught courses at UCA ranging from Renaissance graduate seminars to the history of Broadway and the history of rock and roll.
