Carrick is one of just a few community musicians in the orchestra, in that space between ‘not a student’ and ‘not (yet) a professional.’ A retired advertising executive/publisher from Little Rock, he has discovered a new life’s journey in playing the cello, and spends much of his time during the summer break traveling for music workshops. Carrick is a generous volunteer, always ready to jump in for ‘meet the instruments’ at the children’s concert, or play in a community outreach ensemble, most recently at the senior center and at a luncheon for the CSO volunteer Guild. He also serves as a CSO Board member, and as its treasurer, devoting many volunteer hours to those responsibilities as well. We are fortunate to have Carrick as part of our orchestra, and with his wife Pat, as part of the CSO family!
